The Jacqueline Conoir Fall Fashion Show, held April 13th, was one of Vancouver’s most prestigious annual fashion events. Fashion insiders and photographers as well as loyal followers of the Jacqueline Conoir label secured tickets well in advance of the sold out event. The line-up for the show began outside well before the seven o’clock opening.

Jacqueline Conoir has been producing fashion collections in Vancouver since 1985. According to Jacqueline Conoir designer Rozemerie Cueves, “Women’s suiting forms the backbone of the collection. “ Fall 2010 was no exception and there were many well thought out options for the professional woman. The wide range of suits seems the result of many years of design experience. Classic styles are update every season and new styles are added as a result of Cuevas’ design creativity and current fashion direction. As a result, women’s jacket suits and separate styles are up-to-date yet remain classic. They are investment pieces. Two pieces suits included softer looks as well as tailored style and choices include fitted and relaxed styles.

Zuka Jewelry

05Apr10

A few days ago, I had an opportunity to visit jewelry designer Kari Staten of Zuka Artful Accessories. Staten is currently at work designing her Fall 2010 Collection. She plans her jewelry line later in the year than is typical in the fashion industry. This timing lets her respond to current fashion and color trends.

Check back in June for a preview of Zuka’s Fall 2010 Jewelry Collection.
