Archive for the ‘Pattern Draping’ Category

Draping a fitted front bodice pattern is often much quicker than drafting a similar pattern.

The two most important things to remember when draping any style on a dress form are: 1) accurately tape style and reference lines, 2) control your grain lines.

When it comes to developing a pattern for your design, choose whatever method is quickest and easiest. The style of the garment will dictate which pattern making method, draping or drafting, is best suited to your design.
