Backstage and behind the scenes at FMA was a wonderful source of inspiring images. It was easy to find many creative, original and beautiful people to photograph. These beautiful non-models (for the most part) were gracious enough to pose for me and share in my vision of their strength and beauty. Thanks to my found models for their patience and generosity. Those people inspired the next 6 photos.

The Opening Gala for Vancouver Fashion Week was an opportunity for models, designers, photographers and fashion fans to gather and celebrate Vancouver’s fashion industry. There was strong media presence. Dozens of professional photographers from local as well as international publications snapped shot after shot of designer outfits. There was considerable competition to obtain the best shot of the “over-the-top” hair and make-up contestants.
